ALM “Main application process failed to start” error

I am trying to load ALM for the first time on my Win7 box and it seems to be loading the client-side files just fine, then it throws a “Main application process failed to start” error and I can’t get any farther. What do I do?

Try this: Close IE, then go to the IE icon in the start menu, right-click on the IE icon and select “run as administrator” from the menu. Then go to your ALM URL as you did before. It should be able to load what it needs now. This is only needed for the first load of the client.

When the "Run as Administrator" option does not work, Delete this directory. C:\Users\YOUR\_LOGIN\_NAME\_HERE\AppData\Local\HP\ALM-Client
