Has anyone ever seen this problem where you click on the Object repository button in the QTP client, and nothing happens?

I am using QTP10 and when I add new objects to the repository, my scripts will not recognize them until I either quit QTP and relaunch or disassociate the repository and reassociate it to the script. I have created an object repository with all the objects in the web page. Then I created a new action and associated the object repository created with the new action. When i record the objects from the web page, it creates new objects with an extension of _2. Am I doing anything wrong? Thanks Sri
