Do we need to prepare our ALM server to use ALM Client Launcher 4?

We tried ALM Client Launcher 3.1 back with ALM 12.6.  We had to “prepare” our ALM server for use with client Launcher by zipping up the ALM “Client” files and placing in the “Apps” folder on our ALM server.

Client Launcher 4.0 User Guide does not say we need to do this, is that right?

How does it get the “client files” for the end-user, then?

pt-barnum answered this question in a perfect way, it is designed to be working in the same way as you use IE to access ALM, so you don't need to prepare anything on server. in addition, it is recommended to update to the latest launcher version, we will keep adding enhancement or bug fixing to make it more mature, though it is still good enough to work in most of the customer environment.

The 4.x version of Client Launcher gets it's "client" files from the "install" folder under Webappsqcbin.

This is similar to how those files were retrieved with IE, meaning that you no longer need to "prepare" your server with any zips of the client files.
