Issue with ORACLE EBS JAVA ”sub-Pop-ups” (eg, G-L Account assembler) & Sprinter 12.54
Question ID: 107244

I’m running Sprinter 12.54 with ALM 12.53 (which so far is working correctly), recording a macro for field validation purposes in ORACLE EBS JAVA pages. However, the "sub-Pop-ups" (eg, the G-L account builder where segments of the account are selected) is not presented. ORACLE "hangs-up" or waits. If I stop the macro recorder on Sprinter and stop the test case being executed (for which the macro is being recorded), the sub-Pop-up is issued. Is anyone else experiencing this? I should mention that the macro successfully records the opening of the JAVA applet and the initial JAVA page. It’s the sub-Pop-up that holds-up ORACLE. Any guidance on this is greatly appreciated. It should be noted that the Pop-Up blocker is not turned-on. Thanks!

Hello,

Unfortunately, HPE Sprinter does not have any true support for Oracle Applications.

As per QCCR1J63327, in regards to Oracle Sprinter support: Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) has reviewed this change request. After careful consideration regrettably HPE has determined the requested change will not be addressed within the product.

Oracle applications work with Sprinter to some degree, but seldom do they work perfectly. I have seen for instance that Oracle Forms has a severe break in form searches in Sprinter 12.52 and lower. And come Sprinter 12.53, about most Oracle Forms items break.

Don't have much to offer then as you could have different success or failure on a lower version of Sprinter.
