License server does not have a valid Unified Functional Testing license????

We have a problem. We moved our concurrent license server to a new machine. Now, when we try to connect with UFT, we get an error message saying, "OurLicenseServer – The license server does not have a valid Unified Functional Testing license. For more information about installing a license server and concurrent licenses on your network, please refer to the Unified Functional Testing Installation Guide.

I've seen this happen before. Use WLMAdmin to check the license type. If it is ''HpFunctionalTesting'', then UFT will not work with it, it only works up to QTP 11. You need either ''FT-unified and FTAddins'' or ''UnifiedFunctionalTesting'' to use UFT. (there are a few other license types, but they are pretty rare, check https://softwaresupport.hp.com/group/softwaresupport/search-result/-/facetsearch/document/KM184847 for specifics) Marked as spam

When you moved your concurrent license server to a new machine, did you get a new license key? License keys for UFT are specific to a machine. When you request such a key from HP you have to supply a locking code from the machine where the key will be installed. This locking code is unique to the machine. You can't simply install the license key you received for machine A onto machine B. It won't be valid for machine B. You have to get a new license key. Marked as spam

You also need to be sure the number of current connections hasn't exceeded the number of concurrent licenses. For instance if you have 5 maximum users, and 5 connections are already in use, then this error will occur on the 6th attempt to open UFT. Marked as spam
