I have several test machines with different OS's (XP,Win 7, etc) and architecture (32/64). Is there a way to detect if the architecture is 32 or 64 bit while running test so I can make sure the path to the application under test is correct?

Hi, I am using QTP 10 and it has been observed that QTP can not identify the CAPTCHA (Completely Automated Public Turing test to tell Computers and Humans Apart). Please let us know the solution for this. Workaround - Manually enter the text and store it in a variable and use it. Thanks, Vishwas

When I run an automated script in QTP and it gets errors, I look at the results file. When I drill down and select each error, sometimes it shows me a screen capture app under test associated with that error, and sometimes it does not. I do not see any pattern so far. I have a person that is new to QTP and when they try to record a new test with QTP the following error is displayed - "The Browser application cannot be launched". They are trying to launch and site with IE during the record cycle.

Does anybody have suggestions for debugging a script that crashes QTP and AUT? I am not sure which line of the code is causing the problem. Running in debug step mode does not cause the problem.
