What is required to install QTP add-in for QC/ALM without QTP installed?

I don’t have QTP installed and am trying to install the QuickTest Professional Add-in for Quality Center/ALM. I receive one of the following two errors: "Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 SP1 Run-time Components is missing on this machine. Please install all missing prerequisites and run this installation again." or "Visual Studio Tools for Office redistributable is missing on this machine, Please install all missing prerequisites and run this installation again." What client components are required, and where can I find them?

In order to install the QuickTest Professional Add-in for QC/ALM on a client machine that does not have QTP installed, the following client components are required (in addition to the normal required QC client components). RickJames (above) already nailed the answer: If you're seeing this message, double-check to make sure you have QTP 11 installed on the machine **before** installing the QTP AddIn. Installing QTP 11 will install the necessary components required for the Add-In. If you're going to use QC on the host, might as well install QTP for a hollistic solution. The additional functionalities provided by all of the Add-Ins are worth it. 9 times out 10, this is the problem. Marked as spam
