How do I export Tests from a spreadsheet to multiple directories and subdirectories in the Test Plan in Quality Center

I am able to export from Excel into Quality Center and I am able to map a single subject (i.e. folder) into the Test Plan module. I am looking for a way in which to map to a sub-directory during the export process. A user can manually create multiple directories and sub-directories into the Test Plan, but I am unable to perform the same function with the export. I want the export to create the directories in the Test Plan and put the tests in the appropriate directories.

In your Subject column in Excel, put in the path you wish to create, like this:

FolderSubfolderFolder3

Map this to the 'Subject' in QC. (In the Test Name column, place the name of the individual test.) This will create a 'Folder3' inside a 'Subfolder' inside a 'Folder' under the root (the 'Subject' folder).

Be sure to use backslashes in the Subject path.
