Installing error ”Source file not found” for QTP 11 qt_exec.cfg

When I am installing QTP 11 I get error message "Source file not found" … \\QuickTest\\MSI\\dat\\qt_exec.cfg. Does anybody know why I am getting this? I know I have the correct QTP install media.

QTP 11 install media has a file QuickTestMSIdatqt_exec.cfg which is zero length. When extracting from ISO file to file system some tools do NOT extract zero length files and QTP needs this file to install. Recommend extracting to local machine and creating empty file if it does not exist. Marked as spam
