You can use virtual objects in normal testing scenarios when an object isn't seen by UFT and it emulates a standard object. You will see that there is a limited set of objects that you can choose, such as a checkbox, button, table, etc., so you may need to be creative (such as using a virtual button to handle a tab), but it can get around some tricky situations. Keep in mind that it does using locations of objects, so if that might change over time, you may need to edit or re-create your virtual object(s) again if the application's GUI might change someday.
