When trying to connect the ALM sync client to the ALM sync server we receive the error: Unable to connect to the remote server Check your server’s availability.

What does this error mean?

Usually this error means that you did not wait long enough for the synchronizer service to restart on the sync server machine or that the service on the server is not up and running or is otherwise not visible by the sync client.

Try restarting the sync service on the synchronizer server machine and then wait at least 10-15 minutes before trying to connect the client to the server to give the service time to restart.
