When we try to apply a filter to the Test: Subject column (test path) in TestLab we

are getting the following error when clicking on the folders.

OLE error: 800400D1

This is only happening on one project. We are not using datahiding and permissions

should not be an issue.

Anyone have any idea what is happening?

I have run into this before. If you look in TestLab at the Test: Subject column you

will see a small arrow the points up or down. This is because you have sorted the on

this field either acending or decending. If you clear the sort from the column you

will be will be able to apply the filter to the column.

I have tested and found this issue in the following versions of ALM:

  • 12.01
  • 12.20
  • 12.21
  • 12.50

There is a QCCR on this issue QCCR1J83731

The current status of the QCCR is Differed.

Thanks, that worked, at least there is a work around.

If the above solution doesn't work, you can try by removing the affected user from the project and then add again., this has worked for me.
