Hello
We are wanting to silently and unattended use the client components to the users computers as we have several security and group policies in effect that limit the the abilities and access of the users. What is the best and recommended way to install the client to their systems?

Hi HomerJ,

The best way to get around these issues would be to download the MSI Generation tool and select the options desired during installation and then generate the MSI file using this tool. The tool can be obtained by going to https:// /qcbin and selecting the Tools hyperlink from this screen. At the next screen navigate to the next set of available add-ins and then select and download the MSI Generation Tool and manual.

Follow the directions for generating the MSI and adding the options desired. Once the MSI file is generated it can then be provided to your IT administrator for packaging and pushing to the client systems. ** if after installation the active x components are still blocked on the IE browser, then the HP ALM Explorer can be downloaded and installed to subvert the active x issues that occur with the browser client.
