Not getting the full qualified domain name (FQDN), within the URL for PC sites

In our ALM-PC 12.63 environment we have two Performance Center servers and one ALM server.

When we access the URL http://servername.domain.us.sample.com:8080/qcbin/, a menu is presented for selection of PC function desired. If we choose Performance Center Administration or My Performance Center, the menu, issues a URL that does not contain the FQDN, and the choice fails. (example, choice performance center administration will render http://servername/admin as opposed to http://servername.domain.us.sample.com/admin/ which is correct).

If you supply the rest of the FQDN, the module starts as expected. This is happening on only the two sites mentioned. The Site Admin and Lab Management, seem to be fine. We have two PC servers defined in our environment.

You might have entered one of the PC servers with the FQDN and one with the common name in Lab Management or PC Administration.

To have the FQDN for both PC servers in the URL's for MY PC and PC Admin sites, please do the following:

1. Log into Performance Center Administration

2. Navigate to Configuration section (on left of the screen), and click on ''Servers''

3. Click on the first PC server defined, to edit

4. Edit the Internal and External URL's to use the FQDN (servername.domain.us.sample.com)

5. Repeat process for the second PC server

6. Log out of Performance Center Administration site and access your ALM splash screen menu

a. http://servername.domain.us.sample.com:8080/qcbin/

7. Select Performance Center Administration, and confirm that the URL contains the FQDN of the PC server

If it does not, then do the following:

1. Log into Performance Center Administration

2. Navigate to Configuration section (on left of the screen), and click on ''Servers''

3. Remove one PC server only, and re-add the PC server, using the FQDN for the defined name

4. Repeat for the second PC server
