What’s the minimum I have to install for UFT Runtime Engine Only?

My company bought some UFT Runtime Engine Only licenses, but I’m not understanding what I should install on the host machines. Do I still need to install the full IDE/application if I just need these to run tests without the script creator? Any help would be appreciated.

No, you do not have to install the full UFT IDE when setting up for Runtime Engine Only use. Please see here: When you are installing, select Custom Setup. The "Runtime Engine" feature should already be set to install. For the "UI Designer and IDE" feature, selecting "Entire feature will be unavailable. excludes the feature from the installation" will let you not have to install the entire UFT IDE/application. You may then turn on/off the other features as it pertains to your testing boxes (Add-ins, Runtime Results Viewer, etc.). Marked as spam
