We recently upgraded to ALM v17. After the upgrade was complete, we decided to replace our expired Enterprise license with an ALM license. When we try to upload the new ALM license, we receive the following error. I appreciate any assistance you can provide to help us resolve this issue. Thanks!

Error applying new license keys. Your license file contains keys of an edition which is not currently installed, please contact support for assistance.

In previous versions of ALM, there was a bug that allowed you to add a license of one edition on top of another license with a different edition (e.g., QC Enterprise Edition on top of an ALM Edition). The bug was resolved in the latest version of ALM preventing users from adding a license of one type on top of a license of a different type. Here’s another example that may help explain. If you choose the ALM Edition trial/demo license during a fresh install of ALM, you won’t be able to install a QC Enterprise Edition license until you clear it ALM Edition license.
