Add-ins page in Excel does not show Export to ALM option anymore

We have a user on a shared VM who when attempting to run the Excel add-in, the Excel add-in is not present. It used to be present for this user's login.

Only things we can think that changed is we patched our QC server, and attempted to upgrade the Excel add-in on the VM. Not sure when the add-in disappeared for the user, but it was some point after the add-in was updated. Also, Excel was repaired on the profile as a part of regularly quarterly maintenance.

We have tried uninstalling and re-installing the add-in, it does make the add-in show. Was debating on deleting and re-installing Office 2010 completely, but wanted to get any suggestions first before doing that.

Hello. Before doing any uninstall of Office, first let us check to see if the Excel add-in is not present in the Disabled Items list. Add-ins in this list will not be displayed when running Excel.

1. Open Excel 2010.
2. Click on File then select Options from drop down menu which is on the left side panel.
3. In Excel Options window that opens, select Add-Ins on left side panel list.
4. Now to the right side of the pop up window is the View and manage Office add-ins, and at the bottom you will see Manage with a drop down list next to it.
5. Select the drop down list open its contents, and choose Disabled Items then select the Go... button.
6. If the Excel add-ins is present in this list, select it and choose Enable.
7. Click close to get back to the View and manage MS Office Add-ins window, and select OK at the bottom.
8. Close out and reopen Excel and check to see if the Add-ins tab shows the Export to HP ALM selection.

Hopefully that is all your issue is, and does not require any uninstall of re-install of MS Office nor the HP Excel add-in.
