ALM MSI doesn't seem to be working…

Hello. We recently installed the ALM client MSI on one of our client machines, and now it doesn't seem to be working. Instead of the user being taken straight to the page where they enter their credentials, they are prompted to install the ALM client. This change seemed to have occurred after we installed the ALM Explorer add-in. We have been able to use the ALM client MSI along with the ALM Explorer in the past. Any idea what we need to do to get this issue resolved? Thanks!

I have seen this issue before, and I will provide you with the following work around that worked for me. Start with running the ALM Client Cleanup tool on your machine. Click the ALM Client Cleanup link to download a copy of the tool ( [ALM Client Cleanup tool][1] ) Next, I would like for you to uninstall the ALM Client MSI. You will be able to find this in the list of installed programs within the 'Programs and Features' list. After you have uninstalled the MSI, locate the MSI that was previously generated, and reinstall it on that machine. After you have reinstalled the MSI, retest to see if the issue still occurs when connecting to the ALM server using IE.

That did the trick. We are no longer being prompted to install the ALM client when using IE along side the ALM Explorer add-in. Thanks!
