ALM not launching UFT with correct addins

Newly installed UFT had all add-ins enabled but the API test was created selecting web only. UFT was closed when started by ALM and it brought up the add-in menu when the test was started from test plan and all add-ins were still selected. ALM should have started UFT with only the add-ins selected in the test and not UFT’s default. How can this be corrected?

UFT is working as designed: 1) When a test is *opened* from ALM Test Plan, UFT starts the same as when started from Windows (with default Add-ins as selected by last UFT session), then opens the test. 2) When a test is *run* from ALM Test Lab (Automatic Runner), it only loads the Add-ins associated with the test as last saved (either GUI or API). Tested by measuring memory usage during the run. 3) The Remote Agent settings of toggling hidden mode and keeping UFT open after a Test Lab session ends only pertain to *GUI* tests. They are not applicable to *API* tests. 4) If you would like HP to change the behavior, you will need to complete an Enhancement Request form including a strong business case and send to HP Marked as spam
