ALM/QC synchronizer client throwing ”Wizard not available due to HP ALM client problems.” error

We just installed ALM/QC Synchronizer server (v. 1.4) on a Win2008 64-bit server.
We also used IE(32-bit) to load the ALM client and ran the ALM client Registration and Connectivity Add-ins on the same server.
We loaded the Synchronizer client and get this error when we try to create the QC part of a link:
"Wizard not available due to HP ALM client problems.".

What are we doing wrong?

As it turns out, it actually DOES work on a 64-bit Windows -- it was an IE QC/ALM Client 32/64 issue.
If you load QC/ALM IE client as usual with 32-bit IE (by going to your ALM URL) and allow associated 32-bit / x86 supporting Visual C++ runtime as requested during install, it works fine. -- don't forget to run the ALM Client Registration from the Add-Ins menu.

Soapy,

Sorry, but the ALM/QC Synchronizer does not work on 64-bit servers.
Try re-loading it on a 32-bit machine -- remember it cannot be the same server as your QC/ALM is running on.

PT, Thanks, that was it! We used a 32-bit server for QC-Sync. and now it works. Hopefully, they will support 64-bit soon.
