After installing the correct business view add-in for my version of ALM, which installs fine and error free, when attempting to login from the add-in to ALM, we get the below error:

![alt text][1]

This only appears though on some install machines and not others. Most are fine, but a few continue to get this error.

Have attempted following to fix:

* Uninstall & Reinstall

* Tried both install options, admin an non admin

* Review connectivity issues

Hello,

Upon a little searching, found an HPE community forum post with a workaround. The workaround does seem to work.

Original HPE post can be found here: [HPE Forum link][1]

Look to last post at bottom of link to see the listed solution.

**Summary for ease:**

Close Excel

Open control panel and go to programs and features

Uninstall the business view add-in

Open ALM client and login to project

Go to Analysis View under the Dashboard module

Click on the green plus icon drop down in the menu tool bar and select ''New Business View Excel Report'' to generate a new report

![alt text][2]

Give the report a name and after you should be prompted automatically to install the add-in (if not, can click on the new report, choose the Configuration tab, and there on right in menu is an option to install the add-in)

![alt text][3]

After install (should be very quick), click on the report and select the Configuration tab again, and under it is Generate, New Excel and Install/Uninstall Add-in, and here select ''New Excel''

This will open Excel and the add-in up and already logged into your project

Next to test, close Excel (can close ALM too if desired)

Reopen Excel, open the business views add-in and try to login to your ALM project

Should work at this point and not throw the error message
