Camera Feature producing 0 KB error in ALM?

Hello,

We are having an issue where when we are using the camera to capture screen captures the resulting capture is only yielding a 0 KB file size that we can’t access after that? We are running ALM 12.60 but we had no issues until recently.  We haven’t upgraded or changed anything and it just stopped working.  Any ideas as to the possible cause?

Thanks,

HomerJ

Hi HomerJ,

Every time i have experienced this issue resulting in the 0 KB file size has been related to a low storage size available on the repository disk storage space. ALM needs essentially 10% of free disk space to operate, but it needs more to actually be used by clients efficiently and avoid errors when using and updating entities.

I would check the free storage space on the repository disk as generally it creates the link on the DB portion and the named placeholder on the repository drive but is unable to actually store the full file.  If there is sufficient free space on the repository storage location then I would recommend that the allotted DB schema storage isn't low as well.  It's usually the storage drive though.

Hope this helps,

Dan

Storage space was low. Increased it and the functionality returned. Thanks for the recommendation and help.
