Normal procedure to close and exit QTP is followed. Help is closed, Object Repository is closed, associated libraries are closed, no other dialogs or windows of any applications are open yet the application thinks something with the object repository is still open.

Could the Object Repository Manager off the screen? The cause for this is QTP stores on file the coordinates of the last used location, regardless if such area or coordinates are no longer available.

Move the mentioned dialog/window to a visible area:

1. On QuickTest Professional, either click on the Object Repository button or use keyboard combination CTRL+R
2. Right click and Shift at the same time on the Object repository in the Windows task bar
3. From the pop-up menu, using only keyboard (down, down, ..., Enter), select ''Move''. This should make the mouse cursor change to a new icon
4. (Important) Press the Up arrow key, then Down arrow key
5. Now move your mouse. This should ''stick''/bound the missing dialog/window to your mouse

See HP document KM1194321 for more options.
