Microsoft has removed the original download link that UFT's installer used to download the script debugger utility. Here is the KB from HPE along with some suggested workarounds-
During QuickTest Professional (QTP) or Unified Functional Testing (UFT) installation If the option to download and install Microsoft Script Debugger has been selected, the following error message may be displayed:
“Failed to download and install Microsoft Script Debugger: http://download.microsoft.com/download/7/7/d/77d8df056fbc4718a319 be14317a6811/scd10en.exe. Please check log file for more information.”
Solution
The link mentioned on popup warning/error, is no longer available. Such URL is from Microsoft download site (used to retrive the Microsoft Script Debugg er).
Important: HPE is actively working with Microsoft on this matter.
