Can’t install 12.50 using a Service account

I have downloaded ALM 12.50, uninstalled ALM 12.21, but when I try to install 12.50 I get to the Services screen where it prompts me to enter the services account and can’t go any further. If I leave the username, password, and domain name fields blank I get an error that I have to use the same account that was used during the installation. If I add a services account and click Next nothing happens… I can’t go forward.

I have run into this issue before. Unlike when installing 12.21 there is no installation log file created and errors and warnings are not displayed when installing 12.50 with a service account. To use a service account you need the following...
You can start the Secondary Logon service from within the Services MMC Snap in. By default it is set to manually start so it is probably not running. To assign the Login as Service right to the service account follow the directions in this You will need to get with your IT department to make sure the service account is a local admin. To create a user profile you will need to login once as the service account user. Once you have done this you will be able to install ALM 12.50 using a service account. Marked as spam
