Do we need to do anything in ALM if our Mail SMTP Server password changes?

What are the procedures for updating the Set Mail Protocol SMTP Server password? When the ALM password is refreshed/updated and tested, is it immediately effective at that time?

QC/ALM does not use a password for the Mail protocol, only the server name/URL and the port. As long as the TEST button (site Admin / Site Configuration / Settings / Set Mail Protocol) functions and sends test email, it shows it is working fine. Marked as spam
