Documentation on API’s performance testing

We are currently using LoadRunner 12.50. We are planning to do performance testing on APIs [services] before building the GUI. Does any one know how to achieve this thru loadrunner, Can you recommend any documentation. Which protocol should we use for this? Any thoughts would be great.

Based on the question, I would recommend using the Web Services Protocol to test your application's API's (services). http://lrhelp.saas.hp.com/en/latest/help/WebHelp/Content/VuGen/c_WebServices.htm Hope this helps. Marked as spam
