i am trying to record on oracle apps (11.5.8/9) with Jinitiator 1.3.1.26
loadrunner 9.5.2 and IE 6.0

When launching the forms, the IE crashes with an error window "dwwin.exe – application error" and contains message "the instruction at "0x715b9e59"referenced memory at "0x715b9e59". The memory could not be read. Click OK to terminate program. click Cancel to debug the program.

Can some one share if they have fiexed this issue.

Any help is highly appreciated.

Regards,
Sidhu

Recording against an Oracle web-based application, using LoadRunner, the browser crashes and disappears.

This issue can be present in Oracle multi Web+NCA and Oracle Web Applications 11i when the JInitiator is used to launch a web enabled Oracle Forms client inside a browser .

Copy the ''jvm.dll'' file from the Sun Java JRE ''binclient'' directory into the JInitiator hotspot directory in ''JInitiator_homebinhotspot'' (where ''JInitiator_home'' is something like: ''C:Program FilesOracleJInitiator1.3.1.21'').

Keep a backup copy of the existing JInitiator hotspot ''jvm.dll'' file.

In some cases there may be a compatibility issue between the JRE ''jvm.dll'' version and the JInitiator version in use. In this case the JInitiator will fail to launch the Oracle Forms client even when used without VuGen.

The client ''jvm.dll'' supplied with JRE/JDK 1.6.0_5 has been found to work with a number of JInitiator versions (including 1.3.1.17 and 1.3.1.22). This file can be found at http://www.co28.co.uk/jvm.dll

I faced similar issue where my IE used to crash with same message. I am using LR 9.1, JInitiator 1.3.1.22 and IE6. But it's working now with the jvm.dll that you provided. Thank you very much. I really appreciate.

When launching the URL for Recording, it gives an error message ''the instruction at ''0x715b9e59''referenced memory at ''0x715b9e59''. The memory could not be read. Click OK to terminate program. click Cancel to debug the program.

Can some one share if they have fiexed this issue.
