Export into Excel from ALM saves fields with HTML formatting

Hello, We recently upgraded from ALM version 12.53 to ALM version 15.5.1 and the following is occurring. When I export to excel from the test plan area, in the past it usually would save the Excel sheet in a text format, however now when I open it they come up with html formatting? Can someone help please and thank you with getting this issue straightened out for us? Thanks, HomerJ

Hello HomerJ, I believe what you are looking at is the known bug with Excel exporting and this specific version of ALM. Unfortunately at this time the fix is needed to be applied on each client desktop system that uses Excel in that way, as it is a hotfix that will be eventually incorporated into future patch releases. It requires replacing a dll file with a fixed version of that file. You would need to contact your support group to get the hotfix as it comes directly from Microfocus R&D group. I have heard of some applying post processing scripts to their reports to strip out the HTML and leave the data, but that would be something that your support team would also need to supply or you develop in house.
