”Failed to paste data” error when copy/paste of ALM/QC11.52 Tests into ALM/QC12.53

We are coming across "Failed to paste data" error when trying to copy/paste the tests cases from an ALM11.52 project to ALM12.53 project using IE32-clients.

Please provide the steps to troubleshoot the issue.

This is failing because you have a version MISMATCH.

Both projects must be the SAME version of QC in order to do a COPY/PASTE like this.

So I guess we need to upgrade the 11.52 project to 12.53 first/ is there any way to copy the tests from ALM11.52.4 project to ALM12.50 project without upgrading the entire project to ALM12.50?

You might be able to export/report to Excel and read back in with the Excel Utility that comes with QC, but the burden would be on you to carefully format the Excel file /rows to be in the proper format for import without issues.
