When a user clicks the ‘Forgot Password’ function, they don’t receive any email (nothing happens). I have tried the following:

1) Log into Quality Center siteAdministrator
2) Click Site Configuration tab
3) Click Settings down arrow button
4) Click Set Mail Protocol
5) Click the radio button for the SMTP server and enter the correct IP address or naming convention of the Server where SMTP services are running.
6) Click Test… Add an email to "send to" "test issuccessful" should appear.
7) After done with the test – click OK
8) Log out of QC Site Admin and restart the QC server

What else needs to be done here ?

What is the version and patch level of your QC product?

Has the user entered their username before clicking the link? And is that username actually in the QC site user table? And is there a valid email address in that user's user record?

Have you tried setting the log level to Debug, and then retrying this, and then looking at the QCClient logs generated on the server to see if they provide any additional information?

It's QC 10 and patch level is 31. I have verified all you mentioned above. Where do I set the log level to debug ? Thanks

Log levels are set through Site Admin, on the Servers tab.
