Having issue where mouse jumps around during the use of the screen recorder making control of it almost impossible in ALM 11 and later?

Hi,
I am having the issue where the mouse is not working correctly when using the screen recorder in HP ALM 11. I am on a Windows 7 64 bit system, and all else is working normally, but when I try to use the screen recorder, using the mouse is almost impossible to control as it is jumping all around the screen. Do you know of any patches that can fix this error?

Hi HomerJ,
I have seen this before and I think your issue is in the default settings for the screen recorder. I think the issue is being caused by high overhead usage on the system due to the default setting to cpature only the last 2 mb of the recording. This causes the system to be constantly calculating usage and writing/ deleting/ editing the file to keep the file size to the 2mb limit. This can be found by selecting the option for the HP Screen recorder from the tray icon (right clicking) and then select the File Size Tab and changing the setting there. The unlimited file size setting seems to work the best and frees up system resources and allows the mosue to work normally and no longer stutter.

Hope this helps,
Dan

HP Screen Recorder is not supported on Windows 7 64bit, only 32 bit.
