How to add database server to ALM?

ALM allows for projects to be stored on multiple database servers, per project. I see in Site Administration where to add the database server, but what all needs to be configured on the new database server before I can connect ALM to it?

I’m assuming we’ll need the "td" or "td_db_admin" user account set up, but do we need to create an empty data schema or copy over the site admin database?

Any help is appreciate!

I'll answer my own question for the benefit of others...

On the DB Servers tab in Site Admin, when adding a New Database Server reference, note that the ''Database Name'' field is just the alias for your reference; it's not actually the name of a database. That's a bit misleading.

Second, I'm not sure if the installation instructions mention that the td_db_admin user must also have security_admin (not sure of the exact name) privileges, but that appears to be the case.

Also, after creating your new database reference, click the hyperlink for ''Application Lifecycle Management User Password'' and set it to the current password for the ''td'' user in your other database.

You should be good to go at that point.
