Has anyone run into the problem of running the Quality Center v10.0 web client on a Windows 7 PC when users do NOT have admin rights on the PC and UAC is turned on? UAC will not be available to be turned off for non-admin users.

In order to run Quality Center 10 on Windows 7, the use will be required to have admin rights only during the installation and client registration stages. Once the client in installed and registered on the system, the rights and privileges can be returned to the original state. The client can then be run without the admin rights without issue. If a patch is applied in the future, the client will then be required to gain temporary rights elevation in order to upgrade the current installation. The only way around this is for the management and IT groups to create a .msi install file, elevate rights and push ou and install the .msi file to the entire user base at once on a scheduled maintenance.
With Quality Center 10 the admin rights are required for installation and registration and there is no work around for that.
