Is it Possible to have LDAP update things automatically in ALM/QC?

Hi,
We have some unique requests within our organization and would like to know if we can somehow get LDAP to automatically push those updates to the ALM user base we have?

Specifically we would like to have the email addresses automatically updated and if a user is deactivated in the system we would like to have them deactivated within ALM?

Is this possible, and if so how?

Hi HomerJ,
Unfortunately that is not a possibility. The way it is currently designed the LDAP is used mostly for authentication purposes. It sends out a request for validation of authentication and receives a response back yes or no. It can be used to pull down information but that is through the user import conduit and is not automatically done but through user request/ intervention. What you are asking could be helpful and if the user is deactivated through the LDAP system they will not be able to authenticate into ALM and gain access, but their account will remain active util such time as a site admin goes into the site admin GUI and deactivates that user.

Hope this helps,
Dan
