Is the license tied to a specific instance of ALM/QC?

Hi,
We were wondering if the license was specifically tied to an instance of ALM/QC? We are planning spome back up of our production server (it is a BVM) and we were wondering if when we brought up the archive, would any possible changes in the VM, such as DNS naming, IP addressing, or MAC addressing cause issues with the license being tied to a different set of parameters from the previous VM activation?

Thanks for all clarifications.

Hi HomerJ,
No the license type is not tied to the installation in any way that such changes to any of the stated VM specific settings would cause a licensing issue. It just verifies that the installation of ALM/QC is authorized and licensed and nothing specific tied to hardware/ environment settings.

Hope this helps,
Dan
