Is there a way to know if the database is up or down using alerting if I have database monitoring in AppDynamics?

At this time there is no availability metric, which is used to alert if the app agent is up or down, for the database agent. However, you could put a Machine Agent on the DB and monitor the availability of the machine agent as a possible workaround. Marked as spam
