Issue sending emails from ALM12.5x with certain domains?

Hello,
We seem to recently have developed an unusual issue with our ALM 12.50 instance. We have found that some of the users from a consulting company we are using aren’t able to receive emails as the ALM airmail system wont send to them. The only thing we can fund is that the domain for these particular users have digits in their domain name (i.e. @123.com as an example but not the true domain).

Is this something that we could work around without setting the consultants up with temporary accounts on our domain to make them work correctly (as giving them temporary addresses is lots of work maintaining for out IT department but it works)?

Thanks,
HomerJ

Hi HomerJ,
The issues you are describing is a known issue for your specific version of ALM. There is knowledge document (QCCR1J96899) regarding this issue and as of current the only way to resolve this issue, other then your suggestion of setting up different temporary email accounts without the digits in the domain, is to the do the following according to Microfocus:

''The only way to go around the problem is to populate the e-mail address through the database USERS table and use SendMail OTA function for delivering mail to these accounts.''

As you have found through your testing the issue is because of the digits within the domain portion of the email address.

Hope this helps,
Dan
