Hi

Whenever the user trying to install ALM 11.52 machine from the server through VPN tunnel, he keeps getting the same message again and again- He has Window 7 with IE 9. When he first tried to install ALM, he was using IE 8 and he failed. so upgrade to IE 9 thinking if it is the browser problem but he is facing the same issue. We tried by running ALM uninstaller and then installing it again but no luck. Please help

Thank you
Sapan

Have them try the following:

Clear the temporary internet files in ie and clean the QC client cache, to clean the QC client cache open windows explorer and put %temp% in the address bar and find the ''td_80'' folder, delete the td_80 folder.

Run the client uninstaller again and select ''Full Cleanup''

Once the QC client is uninstalled, make sure that you are using the 32 bit version of IE, if you are not sure if you are using the 32 bit version of IE you can find it here: C:Program Files (x86)Internet Explorer when you open IE right click and ''Run as an administrator.'' Then select internet options, then click the General tab. Under the Browsing History section click the settings button, then set the ''Check for newer versions of stored pages'' option to ''Every time I visit the Webpage'' then click OK. Then close IE and re-launch IE, make sure and right click IE and run it as an administrator, then try to go to QC again and see if you still get the error. Sometimes if this setting is not correct in IE the Active X control does not get updated to the latest version. Then once you have changed the settings try to log into QC again.
