I did not know how to post this cool feature in EOT so I posted a question and answer it my self so others might find it and use it.

You can create custom menu items under Tools option. This can be done by going to main menu > Tool > Customize then selecting the tab 'Tools'. Enter data to launch your application here.

This saves me time minimizing QTP to find a link on my desktop.
