Limit drop down field with a list from having extra characters

When selecting users from a drop down list, I see that after picking a choice, you can still type other characters in the field. How can we limit that?

Hello, Go to project customization, then select on the left the Project Entities. Find in the tree on the right the field that is being used to pick users as you make mention of. When that field is selected, to the right is the name, type, etc. Below for the look up list being used for that field, you will see 2 check boxes. Verify value and Allow Multiple Values. Select the Verify value and that way only a value from the list is allowed to be entered and no more. Marked as spam
