Missing cross project customization option in template project
Question ID: 106442

We make use of cross project customization and use a template for changes (to udfs mostly) and then apply to linked projects. I recently have been given the task of doing these edits to the template and applying them. However, I do not see the Cross Project Customization feature in the Project Customization screen for the Template. I see it in the project I wish to apply it to, but all that has is a verify of changes and does not have the "apply customization" feature. What am I missing here?

Hello,

Sounds like your user ID and user group is lacking the required permissions for the cross project customization. Given you are missing that, possible you might be missing the other admin options such as Project Users and Groups and Permissions.

If that is the case, have a known full admin user (such as tdadmin or similar) to check on the user group permissions for the group you are a member of, within the template project customization screen. Have them check the Permissions tab and under it, the Administration tab. Under the Administration tab, there is the ''Set Up Cross Project Customization''. That is the option to have the control for applying customization changes in the template project.

Has to be permissions. Didn't even think about that as I know I am admin on the target project, but obviously not for the template project. I will talk to my admin crew to correct the settings.
