First, start with the ''Recommended'' system requirements (rather than the minimum requirements) outlined in the UFT ReadMe:
*CPU: Intel i3 or Phenom II X3 or better
*OS: Windows 7 SP1 64-bit OS
*RAM/memory: 4GB or more
*HDD: 20GB of free HDD space for application and folders (plus 1GB of free space on the system disc, i.e., where the OS is installed)
Next, here's a few additional pointers:
1) By far, the most important spec above is total memory/RAM. Make sure the target machine has *at least* 4GB of RAM. Depending on what else is on the machine (like you mention, ALM Client, your AUT...plus anything else like Office and other applications) you may even want to consider 8GB of RAM (or even more, if the machine is used to run a bunch of tests with test resources like function libraries that get loaded into memory).
2) UFT Add-ins can quickly eat up your memory/RAM, so make absolutely certain the target machine *only* has the relevent UFT Add-ins active. While you can pretty much have as many as you want installed, just make sure you are very careful to only have the appropriate ones active/loaded via the UFT Add-in Manager screen that appears when you first open UFT.
3) Take a look at these KB articles KM177647 and KM01727636 for general tips and guidelines for improving overall performance:
