Need to restrict concurrent users on a SINGLE ALM project

I need to restrict concurrent users on a SPECIFIC project to use on ALM15 from the total 60 available concurrent user license. I see a possible way in the site administration console Licenses/ License assignments tab “Full License” column”.  It looks like adjustment can be made there, but will it allocate the concurrent licenses all the time — even is we don’t have all 15 using them?.

Is this the correct field to restrict users within that project to only 15 concurrent connections? I noticed that when I did save the change it brought down the overall available licenses from 60 to 45, so maybe not the correct way to do this?

Please let me know your thoughts.

It looks like instead, you could do Domain or Project "User Quota".

Domain - put the project(s) into the SAME domain, then apply a "User Quota" on the domain (domain info tab) to limit the MAX # of users to your desired number.

Project - You can also do it on just the PROJECT (project details tab) and set the "project user quota".

The other way you were looking into would "reserve" as in pre-assign those concurrent positions (used or not by users) thereby reducing your overall concurrent count.

Setting a quota allows that many as a maximum and does not claim the full number of CC licenses unless that many users are actually using them.

This quota method works in multiple ALM/QC versions.
