I have installed a new seat license key, but QTP 11 says I only have 25 days left on my license. What did I do wrong?

Since the key is installed, there is nothing to worry about. QTP will continue to use the Demo license key until it expires, and then start using the permanent keys. If this still concerns you, please follow the steps below to remove the Demo license so you can see that the permanent one is installed and has no expiration.

1. Open the lservrc file (''C:Program FilesCommon FilesMercury InteractiveLicense Managerlservrc'')
in Notepad.
2. Locate the demo license. Note that this may take some trial and error (or use the Start>All Programs>HP QuickeTest Professional>Tools>License Validation Utility to confirm which key is the demo).
3. Add a pound symbol (#) to the beginning of the line to comment out the license. (or just delete it)
