QC 10 shows requirement coverage of previoius releases even if filter is set to current

We are using HPQC 10. If we set filter to current release, requirement coverage graph shows requirements from previous release along with current.
Example:
Release1
–Requirement1
–Requirement 2
Release2
–Requirement1
–Requirement 2
–Requirement3
–Requirement 4
If we set filter for Release2, QC shows requirements of Release1 as well as release2 i.e. 6 folders (Requirement 1 and 2 of release1 and Requirment1, 2, 3 and 4 of release2).
If we remove mapping/association of requirements with Release 1, then it shows requirements 1,2,3,4 of Release2. However it wipes of History of Release1 and graphs related to Release1 shows no data.
Is there any way to sort this out?

Check your child requirments.

For Example...
If
The Parent Requirment has Target Release A AND
The Child Requirment has Target Release B AND
You filter for Target Release B
Then
The Parent Requirment is still shown, but now with a crossed out filter icon.
