Support we upgraded to Win8.1 sometime ago, but lately with the new computers were getting (Dell laptops) HP QC text is so large the login page text runs over the login fields, then when you enter QC, the left hand navigation text is either non-existent or cutoff because it doesn’t fit. This is very concerning to our users and me.
Thoughts? I will add some screenshots shortly.

For same issue (though with ALM 12.x), under Windows 10 OS, check that you don't have any scaling set. If you have set a custom scaling level, you will want to remove this and have the display back to 100%. This is true for ''Change the size of text, apps, and other items.''

This has to with the display properties of the new Dell laptop using Windows 8.1 Please do the following to fix the problem:
1. Check the ''Size of all items'' slider.
2. If it is set to Small, move it to Larger then back to Small and hit the Apply button.
3. Now when you display ALM, everything should display properly.![alt text][1]

If you look on the Sys Req page for QC/ALM you will see the following listed now under ''Other Configuration Settings'' for the client in version 12

* ALM 12.55 Patch 1 features improved support for tablet devices. Using manufacturer-recommended screen resolution, the recommended DPI setting is 125% and the maximum DPI setting is up to 150%

There is also another option that will keep you from having to change the display settings you can set them only for the ALM client Windows 7/8/10 machines...

1. Go to your client components folder, example: 'C:Users\AppDataLocalHPALM-Client12.53.2.0_952'.
2. Find 'ALM-Client' > Right Click it > Properties.
3. Go to 'Compatibility' tab > Select 'Override high DPI scaling behavior'.
4. Restart IE, if it was already running.
