I have a new workstation with Office 2013 installed and when I go into QC and try and export all defects to a Word Document I get the following error

Could not find any of the following registry keys:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\\SOFTWARE\\Microsoft\\Office\\14.0\\Common\\LanguageResources
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\\SOFTWARE\\Microsoft\\Office\\12.0\\Common\\LanguageResources
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\\SOFTWARE\\Microsoft\\Office\\11.0\\Common\\LanguageResources
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\\SOFTWARE\\Microsoft\\Office\\10.0\\Common\\LanguageResources

I am using ALM 11 Patch 18 and in the readme it says that it is compatible with Office 2013. What am I doing wrong? I can export to Excel 2013.

I have run into this before and found that for some reason Word 2013 is looking for the LanguageResources key from Office 2010. If you upgrade from Office 2010 the registry key is left behind and you do not get the error. You only get this error message if a previous version of Office was not installed. I opened a case with HP and their workaround for the issue was to copy the HKEY_CURRENT_USERSOFTWAREMicrosoftOffice14.0CommonLanguageResources registry key from a working workstation and import it into the workstation with the issue.

1. Open ''regedit'', and then navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USERSOFTWAREMicrosoftOffice14.0CommonLanguageResources
2. Right click on the key, and select ''Export''.
3. Copy the exported registry file to the problematic, and run the file to import the registry key.
4. List item

If you do not have a working workstation you do the following

1. Go to Run and enter ''regedit''
2. Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareMicrosoftOffice14.0CommonLanguageResources
3. If the InstallLanguage registry is not available then it has to be recreated.
4. Right Click on ''LanguageResources'' and go to ''New'' -> ''DWORD Value''
5. Name it as ''InstallLanguage''
6. Edit the entry and set the value as ''1033''. (this is where it should be stated as 1033 decimal) the default is Hexadecimal

I had the same error message in HP-ALM-Explorer 11(Could not find any of the following registry keys: bla bla bla) then, I just followed your your instruction step by step, but it seems like it doesn't work for me. The error message what I just had before now gone, but still if I would like to export anything to excel from HP-ALM-Explorer 11, I get another error now. ,,Culture ID 4147 (0x1033) is not a supported culture. Parameter name: culture'' I don't know if you ever met an error like this, if you could help me I would be thankful since I did not find any solution on the i-net yet for that
