QTP 11.0 installation issue- Source file not found: C:\QTP\QuickTest\MSI\dat\qt_exec.cfg

I have tried to install QTP11 three times so far and every time I am getting this error – "Source file not found: C:\\QTP\\QuickTest\\MSI\\dat\\qt_exec.cfg". Please advise.

I found out the hard way, QTP 11 install media has a file QuickTestMSIdatqt_exec.cfg which is zero length. When extracting from ISO file to file system some tools do NOT extract zero length files and QTP needs this file to install. Create the file and see if it works. Marked as spam
