We are currently using ALM-PC 12.20. Is there a recommended physical reboot order of ALM-PC 12.20 after installing Windows patching on the ALM Server, PC Servers, and PC Host Machines? Typically we just restart the DB Server, then the ALM Server, then the PC Server, and then PC Host machines. Any input would be great.

The recommended reboot sequence is as follows:

1. Verify that no tests are running, pending or in a initialization state

2. Shut Down Servers in the following order
a. LG's and PC Hosts
b. PC Server(s)
c. ALM Server(s)
d. Database Server

3. Start up Sequence is the following:
a. Database Server (wait 5 to 10 minutes after all windows updates are completed)
b. ALM Server(s) (wait 5 to 10 minutes after all windows updates are completed)
c. PC Server(s), All PC Hosts, and LG's

4. Wait 5 minutes after the last machine is powered up before running your tests. This will ensure that all windows updates are installed and all necessary services are started.
